Istanbul Kültür University Invites You to Experience Staff Training at Istanbul in Spring Semester of the Academic Year 2021-2022 Through Erasmus Grants within Erasmus KA171 Programme for 2020 Project Terms!

Definition of Erasmus + KA171

The project is coordinated by Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) as a Programme Country. IKU will administer all grant payments for mobility to Europe (“incoming”) and from Europe (“outgoing”).

Kenyatta University (KU) is responsible for collecting applications of the prospective exchange staff and providing them with all necessary support including pre-departure preparation, monitoring during mobility, and formally recognizing the mobility period. The receiving institution (IKU) offers students a study programme at the university and allocates grants for the staff qualified to be an exchange staff at IKU.

Erasmus+ KA171 programme offers funded exchange opportunities for academic and administrative staff from and to partner countries. There are two types of staff mobility:
Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA): Staff mobility for teaching for academic staff to teach at a partner higher education institution (HEI) abroad.
Staff Mobility for Training (STT): Aim of the activity is to allow the staff to learn and transfer new knowledge relevant to their field and to learn experiences and good practices of partner institution and develop practical skills required for their current job.

Application Process

Applications must be submitted to the IO by 25 April 2022, the deadline for application.

Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Mobility should be planned to be completed by 30 May 2022 at the latest.

Grant Payments

IKU will be responsible for signing the grant agreement with the participant (incoming staff) and thereafter transfer grants to the selected staff.

1. Nominated staff will receive a grant of EUR 140 per day for of 5 days + travel days (2) during the period of mobility (total amount is 980 Euro).
2. Travel support (round way ticket) is also provided for staff. The amount of travel grant must be calculated using the “Distance Calculator”. The distance calculator is accessible from the following link:
