We are writing about the Gates Cambridge Scholarships at the University of Cambridge and would be very grateful if you would advertise this opportunity to your students.
These are full-cost scholarships for study of any subject at the postgraduate level at the University of Cambridge that are available to citizens of countries other than the United Kingdom.
The Scholarships are one of the most prestigious scholarships in the world and the programme was set up by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in 2000 by a donation of US$210m. Since then, we have supported more than 2,000 students from over 100 countries. The aim of the program is to create a global network of future leaders committed to improving the lives of others.
Scholars are selected on the following criteria:
- Outstanding intellectual ability
- Reasons for choice of course
- Leadership potential
- A commitment to improving the lives of others
Applications for 2022-23 entry are now open and there are two major deadlines (early December 2021 or early January 2022) which are determined by the course being applied for.
